Rod Sinclair
CEO

Rod is responsible for the day to day management and strategic direction of the company and specialises in business software consultancy and design. Rod previously worked in the Chartered Accountancy field before founding Focus Technology Group in 1994. Since that time Rod has worked in all fields of information technology and has a broad understanding of the industry and customer requirements.

Geoff Hinton
Technical Director

Geoff joined Focus in 1994 after returning to New Zealand from Great Britain. While in Britain, Geoff spent two years providing project management, training and support in the projects division of British Rail. He has been in the ICT industry since 1984. Geoff’s initial role with Focus involved the establishment of our branch in Queenstown. He has since moved back to Invercargill as Technical Director and has the responsibility for the technical direction of the organisation as well as the management of the Invercargill engineering team.

Andrea Smith
Business Development Manager

Andrea has worked in the technology industry since 1996 and has previous experience in communications and account management. Andrea’s role is to build and maintain strategic relationships with our existing and new clients whilst overseeing the quality of our services. Her responsibilities include sales and marketing and the overall development of our service offerings.

Andrew Whelan
Software Team Leader

Andrew leads our Business Software team. A qualified chartered accountant initially, he moved into software consultancy in 2000. Andrew has the overall responsibility for managing the service delivery for our software division which includes software design, implementation, training and support services.

Dan Messingham
Queenstown Branch Manager

Dan’s background is in hardware and network engineering within the IT industry in the UK, Australia and latterly New Zealand. Dan’s role as Branch Manager includes the day to day management of the Queenstown Branch, sales, and oversight of the Queenstown engineering and software support teams.
