The goal was to provide managers a comprehensive set of tools to utilise in overseeing productiveness and decision making that was easy to understand and relevant. This is essential to remaining competitive in today’s markets. MYOB EXO Business 8.2 has met these goals with resounding success.
One of the two biggest changes includes the introduction of the Analytics executable, available through the EXO Business interface.

When you start the Analytics executable you will get a screen like this, which is highly customisable. By using widgets, managers can include Clarity reports, URL’s, Pivot Grids and ExoGrids with the option to display the information into graphs. There are also multiple canvas spaces provided by both a tabbed Dashboard and the ability to define multiple layouts for each tab.

The second of the two bigger changes is the improvements to the Sales Analysis Designer which has a new look interface but is backed up with a combination of over 700 sales reports available to users, this feature requires no technical reporting skills.
To open the Sales Analysis Matrix, go to the Reports menu, and then select the Sales Analysis Designer.

Within the Sales Analysis window you select the criteria needed to produce the right information.

The screen looks similar to previous versions but closer inspection reveals a lot more options than previously available.
Further improvements include being able to export Clarity (and Analytics) reports with greater ease into third party reporting tools such as Excel.
Another improvement is a new email function which allows the creation of email templates (*.CLE Files) allowing you to define and personalise the email body and/or act send a merge letter along with your debtor statements. These are created via Clarity Designer.
Lastly but certainly not least, ExoGrids can now be saved and users can now transport grid settings between workstations allowing smooth continuity in the workflow regardless of location.
There is also a new profile setting to activate these settings. When a user logs on to a particular workstation and has a different User Profile Set than the previous user, then the workstation is updated with the user’s own grid settings.
The Business Analytics module will not automatically appear on your existing menu; we will consult with you at the time you upgrade as to which menus you would like this feature added to.
Please do not hesitate to contact Focus Technology Group to discuss upgrading to MYOB EXO Business 8.2
